Parks

Amsterdam has many green corners, some of which are quiet and others which are bustling. A good map of the city will help you find the nearest park.

Vondel park
Vondel park is the city's best known park and has been designated a national monument.

Amsterdamse Bos
The Amsterdam woods are perhaps the largest park near the city.

Gaasperplas
Continuing on the metro line near the conference to the end brings you to Gaasperplas, a recreation area with quiet foot and bike trails and more activity near the lake. The lake is quite deep in some parts, so swimmers should stick to the swimming areas. The lake is also suitable for scuba-diving and sailboating.
